    • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive tuning and optimization efforts
    • Manage security, access controls, and data protection (including row-, column-, and table-level security)
    • Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
    • Automate DBA tasks and support deployments
    • Utilize monitoring and deployment tools (e.g., Redgate or similar)
    • Collaborate with development teams on schema design, indexing, and query performance
    • Establish and enforce database standards and governance
    • Support migrations, upgrades, and cloud transition initiatives

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
    • Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
    • Experience with HA/DR solutions (Always On, clustering, replication)
    • Strong knowledge of database security and backup/recovery strategies
    • Advanced T-SQL and automation skills
    • Experience in mid-size or enterprise environments

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or other cloud platforms
    • Familiarity with DevOps / CI/CD for database deployments
    • Relevant database certifications
    • Exposure to additional database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
