    Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
    Compensation: $150,000+ base + individual performance bonus + profit-sharing

    We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a highly respected client-facing financial services team in Phoenix. This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment and is passionate about working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

    In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex tax planning and compliance work, act as a trusted advisor, and help shape the financial futures of clients through proactive strategy and exceptional service.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead and manage tax engagements for high-net-worth families and individuals

    • Review and prepare federal and state returns (individual, trust, estate, partnership)

    • Advise clients on income, estate, gift, and trust tax planning

    • Serve as a key point of contact for clients with year-round guidance and support

    • Mentor and develop junior staff while promoting firm-wide best practices

    • Partner with legal, investment, and client services teams to deliver holistic solutions

    What You Bring

    • 8+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting or financial advisory preferred)

    • Active CPA license required

    • Strong client-facing communication and advisory skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    • Consistent tenure with previous employers

    • Experience with ultra-high-net-worth clients or family offices is a plus

    • Deep knowledge of individual, partnership, estate, trust, and gift taxation

    Work Environment & Flexibility

    • Hybrid Schedule:

      • First 3 months: Primarily on-site for training and onboarding

      • After 3 months: 1 remote day per week

      • After 6 months: 2 remote days per week

    • Location: Phoenix, AZ

    • Apply and track IRS tax allocations: 704(b), 704(c), and book-to-tax realized gains/losses

    • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy

    • Prepare annual financial statements and partner basis tracking

    • Record and manage capital contributions and distributions

    • Account for debt investments, passthrough entities, and marketable securities

    • Support the accounting behind complex investment transactions

    What You Bring:

    • 3–5 years of experience in investment partnership accounting

    • Hands-on knowledge of 704(b) and 704(c) allocations

    • Strong skills in reconciliations and financial statement prep

    • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
