- Plan, organize, and execute detailed electrical design work with the ability to manage engineering activities across multiple projects
- Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems with minimal oversight
- Conduct research on applicable industry standards and perform engineering studies and system analyses
- Develop and review specifications, calculations, and project cost estimates
- Provide technical leadership to design teams and monitor project progress, identifying scope changes as needed
- Coordinate completion of design documentation and construction drawings
- Direct engineers and CAD designers in preparing design deliverables
- Interpret applicable codes and standards and work with regulatory officials when needed
- Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Advanced degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering and design experience
- Experience designing systems within one or more of the following sectors: commercial, healthcare, laboratory, data center, or government facilities
- Strong background in electrical system design including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Experience reviewing and producing construction drawing packages
- Familiarity with generator sizing and power system analysis tools
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical and energy codes and standards
- Experience supporting mission-critical or secure facility projects is a plus Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
