We’re looking for a Senior Staff Accountant who combines strong accounting fundamentals with curiosity, analytical thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced Family Office that manages a diverse portfolio of operating companies, investments, and real estate entities.
As our accounting team embraces AI technologies like Claude to automate routine reporting, we’re looking for someone who wants to help modernize the finance function, not simply maintain it. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities while partnering closely with leadership to improve financial processes and reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Own full-cycle General Ledger accounting for multiple operating, investment, and real estate entities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and support month-end close
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis
- Manage cash reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Assist with tax preparation and supporting documentation
- Review financial reporting from third-party partners
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency
- Utilize AI tools and automation to streamline recurring accounting tasks
- Collaborate with the Controller, CFO, and cross-functional business partners on strategic initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of General Ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Family Office, multi-entity, or real estate accounting experience
- Tax preparation experience (Partnerships and S-Corporations preferred)
- Sage ERP or similar accounting system experience
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT
- Passion for process improvement and automation
