Summary:
We’re seeking a Business Consultant (Complaint Resolution Specialist) to support complaint investigations and resolution efforts within a financial services environment. This role includes researching client complaints, drafting formal correspondence to clients and representatives, assisting with disciplinary documentation, processing settlements, and participating in quality audits and other project-based tasks.
Ideal candidates will have experience in insurance or investment products, strong analytical thinking, and excellent written communication skills. Familiarity with regulatory response processes and the use of AI in drafting communications is a plus.
Team & Role Overview:
You’ll be part of a collaborative, 17-person team responsible for resolving client complaints and investigating field sales practices. You’ll work closely with case handlers to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant resolutions of complaints involving a wide range of financial products and services.
This role also involves contributing to occasional special projects assigned by team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and draft client-facing correspondence in response to sales practice complaints
- Prepare educational and disciplinary letters for financial representatives
- Assist with investigations involving suspected fraud or policy/regulatory violations
- Process settlement offers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Collaborate with case handlers to ensure thorough and timely resolution of each case
- Support regulatory inquiry responses when needed
- Participate in ad hoc projects and team initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Pre-Law), or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, or investments
- Strong analytical and investigative skills; ability to gather and assess data from multiple sources
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting formal client correspondence
- Experience with complaints, compliance, or dispute resolution
- Familiarity with FINRA and state insurance regulations is a plus
- Experience responding to regulatory bodies is preferred
- Proficiency with AI tools for communication drafting is a bonus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
