Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Junior Endpoint Security Administrator to join our security team. This entry‑level role will focus on supporting antivirus, endpoint management, and data loss prevention (DLP) technologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in first‑ and second‑tier support, responding to incident tickets, and helping maintain the overall health and integrity of endpoint security tools across the organization.
This position is well suited for someone early in their cybersecurity career who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in endpoint security operations and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Security Support & Maintenance
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of antivirus, endpoint management, and DLP solutions
- Monitor dashboards and reports to ensure endpoint security tools are functioning properly
- Perform routine health checks, updates, and validations of security controls on endpoints
Incident Response & Troubleshooting
- Provide first‑ and second‑tier support for endpoint security incidents and alerts
- Investigate and resolve endpoint‑related security issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with senior security staff to support incident investigation and remediation efforts
- Identify trends or recurring issues and escalate as appropriate
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Document incident resolution steps and contribute to knowledge base articles
- Assist in improving monitoring, ticket handling, and support processes
- Maintain accurate records within ticketing systems and internal documentation tools
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT or security support
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Basic understanding of endpoint security concepts
- Familiarity with incident response processes
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within a team
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)
- Exposure to tools or concepts related to:
- Antivirus solutions
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Endpoint management platforms
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, or similar (not required)
Education
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
