    Business Analyst – Life Insurance Underwriting
    Location: Springfield, MA – ONSITE 3 days a week

    Serve as a Business Analysts for projects, applications and technologies within Protection New Business and Underwriting. Directly support the overall Underwriting organization with a focus on our Platform Modernization. Role includes gathering, synthesizing and documenting business requirements, rules configurations and UAT testing requirements. Underwriting platform experience. Must be able to work in a dynamic, matrixed organization, bringing together the perspectives of many and the End-to-End requirements across the customer experience for business sign-off and implementation.

    Job Description

    As a Business Analyst, you will drive translating business needs into the requirements for Processes and Technology to execute on supporting our customer and employee experiences. To be successful, you will:

    • Document business requirements with detailed technical specifications
    • Understand process flows and ensure interconnectivity of systems and applications
    • Act as a liaison between Underwriting and other teams and advocate for necessary changes
    • Translate customer and employee needs into documented, actionable solutions with clear measurement mechanisms in service of business outcomes
    • Provide proper documentation for the Product team to prioritize features and enhancements against a prioritization framework
    • Support Business owner, Product Manager and peers to align requirements to roadmaps
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes by maintaining a strong knowledge of available and upcoming features delivered by external vendors
    • Update procedural and processes changes
    • Ensure development outputs meet business expectations by maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with technical and architecture teams
    • Keep change management principles in mind, to work with the team to establish launch readiness in response to system and process updates
    • Work independently and with management on highly visible, divisional/cross-divisional complex products and projects
    • Be sought as a key resource for documentation of unique or complex business problems
    • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility

    Skills: Required Qualifications:

    • 7+ years experience supporting projects and driving execution of complex technical work
    • Business Analyst experience for Underwriting systems
    • Understanding of Waterfall and Agile processes and documentation
    • Strong requirements documentation skills
    • Bachelors Degree
    • Ability to think strategically
    • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organizations

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Data Analyst to support a complex SAP R/3 to S/4HANA finance migration. This individual will play a key role in Enterprise Data Warehouse and Operational warehouse ensuring the Finance Data Mart and warehouse is accurate and business alignment through detailed EDW mapping, validation, and testing efforts across financial domains in EDW.

    This is a hybrid/in-person role, requiring regular on-site collaboration with business partners, data engineering teams, BI developers, and SAP stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data analysis, finance, testing, and enterprise systems with a hands-on mindset.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the creation and maintenance of EDW data mapping documentation between EDW and Finance system (SAP).
    Collaborate with business and functional leads to gather and clarify financial data transformation and reporting requirements
    Support data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation activities
    Assist in writing and executing test strategies, including:

    Unit testing
    Functional integration testing
    User acceptance testing (UAT)

    Work closely with the BI reporting team to validate data structures and support post-migration reporting needs
    Partner with data engineers and solution architects to define and verify transformation rules
    Log and track issues and support resolution during test cycles; maintain appropriate testing and validation documentation
    Contribute to SteerCo reporting, providing data readiness updates, issue status, and impact summaries
    Work with Project Mangers to maintain and support the RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
    Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to align on requirements, deliverables, and timelines

    Skills: Required Qualifications:

    6+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in finance or enterprise data systems
    2+ years working on SAP.
    Proficient in SQL and familiar with data validation and reconciliation techniques
    Functional knowledge of SAP finance modules (GL, AP/AR, FA, CO)
    Experience with data mapping, data dictionaries, and transformation logic documentation
    Hands-on experience writing and executing test plans including functional integration testing
    Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to work onsite with business stakeholders
    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Familiarity with Finance Accounting Transformation and Finance data migration.
    Experience supporting financial reconciliation, audit readiness, or compliance-driven data initiatives
    Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure)

    Tier4 is seeking an experienced project manager to support Investment Management and Market Risk initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the Portfolio Lead and be accountable for the planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting of projects while using the defined project management (PM) processes and standards. The PM process is designed to support the PMO mission to increase the value impact of change efforts across corporate functions. As a Project Manager, you will execute by following a standardized process for project initiation, planning, execution, and close. Project managers will partner and support project sponsors and portfolio lead in developing required detailed project artifacts tailored to project complexity.
    Investment Management domain experience is a must with preference to Market Risk background. An understanding of securities and derivatives preferred.

    As the Project Manager, you will:

    Partner with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile Discovery artifacts such as a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter, high level Resource Plan, and high-level Milestone Plan to be reviewed to receive Discovery Funding
    Develop and maintain required Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution
    Determine project scope and manage scope execution
    Develop financial forecasts, record cost variance, anticipate and address delivery challenges, and request budget changes if needed following associated Change Request Process
    Develop high-level milestones during Discovery? and develop detailed project schedules during Detailed Planning
    Based on complexity assessment and with guidance on each project, refine the resource plan, develop a RACI Matrix, conduct a Key-Person Risk Assessment, and Third-Party Support Needs Assessment

    Skills: The Minimum Qualifications

    5+ years of experience leading projects impacting core Investment Manager, Financial and Capital Market systems and business processes

    Executive presence with ability to quickly build rapport and cultivate relationships; high-level of emotional intelligence

This role will report directly to the VP of Enterprise Architecture.

    You will guide clients through strategic data modernization—envisioning Lakehouse architectures, implementing medallion-layered data models, and orchestrating large-scale data migrations. This role requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to engage executives and technical teams in shaping data strategies that align with business objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead enterprise data modernization initiatives leveraging Microsoft Fabric’s unified analytics platform across Data Engineering, Data Science, and BI domains.
    • Architect and design Lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) using Fabric’s Delta tables to support scalable, high-performance, and governed data ecosystems.
    • Define and implement data orchestration strategies** using Fabric Data Pipelines and Notebooks (PySpark), modernizing legacy ETL frameworks such as SSIS.

    Qualifications
