    Job Title: Controller

    Location: Fort Myers, FL (On-site)

    Type: Full-time

    We’re seeking a Controller to own the financial operations of a privately held services and technology organization. This is a highly hands-on leadership role, responsible for day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and partnering closely with executive leadership to drive growth, profitability, and operational discipline.

    You’ll lead the accounting function, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executive team.

    What You’ll Do

    • Own day-to-day accounting operations, including G/L, A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial close.
    • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk mitigation.
    • Lead and mentor accounting staff through hands-on, in-office leadership.
    • Partner with external CPAs and consultants on audits, tax filings, and GAAP compliance.
    • Oversee invoicing, collections, and contract billing while actively managing A/R cycles.
    • Collaborate with project and department leaders on job costing, margins, and profitability.
    • Support expansion into new states through regulatory research and entity registrations.
    • Manage insurance policies, employee benefits, and related compliance requirements.
    • Build and improve financial systems, controls, policies, and reporting processes.
    • Provide financial analysis, dashboards, and insights to support executive decision-making.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA strongly preferred).
    • 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a services-based organization.
    • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
    • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel proficiency.
    • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams in person.
    • Strong business acumen and the ability to partner cross-functionally with executives.
    • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

    About the Role

    The company is expanding its global Integration Catalog within Alation, their central repository documenting all internal and external system integrations (SAP, Salesforce, EDI, and more). With ~1,100 integrations recorded and several thousand remaining, we are seeking a Platform Analyst to drive adoption, engagement, and data quality across global teams.

    This role is a hybrid of Business Analyst + Project Coordinator, ideal for someone experienced in data cataloging/MDM and skilled at working across technical and business teams.


    What You’ll Do

    • Partner with application owners and SMEs to identify and document system integrations
    • Lead workshops, trainings, and stakeholder engagements to increase catalog adoption
    • Facilitate data collection and ensure high-quality, complete integration documentation
    • Work closely with developers (India-based) and the project manager to track progress
    • Maintain and update tasks in JIRA
    • Evangelize the value of the catalog and drive participation across global regions
    • Coordinate with stakeholders across US, Europe, Asia-Pac, and South Africa
    • Prepare presentations, templates, and materials used for training and communication
    • Support manual entry of catalog data as needed (not a primary responsibility)


    Required Experience

    • Experience with a data catalog or MDM tool (Alation preferred; Collibra, Reltio, MDM platforms also acceptable)
    • Background as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Project Coordinator supporting technical teams
    • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders
    • Strong documentation, communication, and follow-up skills
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality
    • Experience using JIRA
    • Ability to work across global time zones with some US Eastern overlap


    Nice to Have
