    System Engineer 
    4 days a week onsite (1 remote – typically Fridays) Orlando, FL
    Duration: Contract through end of 2026
    Pay: $39/hr. W2 + benefits 

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a System Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL to support a critical migration project from VMware to Hyper-V. This role will also be responsible for managing the daily operations of our lab and storage environment, including equipment management and shipping. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows Server administration, Hyper-V, and Operational Technology (OT) environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support the migration from VMware to Hyper-V.
    • Oversee the daily operations of the lab and storage environment, including equipment shipping and management.
    • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Server environments.
    • Work within Operational Technology (OT) environments to ensure system reliability and integration.
    • Collaborate with teams to execute and support infrastructure migration efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience migrating from VMware to Hyper-V.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Hands-on experience with Hyper-V.
    • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments is a plus.
    • Remote Desktop Services support experience.
    • Ability to work onsite in Orlando, FL, managing lab and storage operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Core Requirements

    • 4+ years full stack development experience using C#/.NET Core in production environments.
    • Practical Angular experience (v14+ preferred; v19 ideal) with the ability to contribute quickly.
    • Strong understanding of AWS services and hands-on experience building or supporting cloud-native applications.
    • Solid background with SQL Server or other relational databases.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and UI best practices.
    • Proven ability to design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs.
    • Experience working in Agile teams with iterative delivery.
    • Interest in or willingness to use AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, etc.) to improve quality and velocity.

     

    Bonus Skills / Differentiators

    • Experience building or deploying AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
    • Familiarity with Docker, containers, and cloud-based application hosting.
    • Strong background in unit testing and automation (NUnit, xUnit, Cypress, Jest, etc.).
    • Experience with monitoring/alerting tools or AWS observability solutions.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, ownership, and problem‑solving skills.
