Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Technical Lead for an immediate contract opportunity expected to run 12+ months. This is a high-impact role supporting a large enterprise Workday Financials environment and partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Technology, and other key stakeholders.

This opportunity is ideal for a Workday professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex system challenges, and helping shape the direction of a critical enterprise platform. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to make a major impact on a high-visibility project and influence the ongoing optimization of Workday Financials.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Financials Ownership & Architecture

  • Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for Workday Financials.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
  • Support the Workday Financials roadmap, enhancements, and ongoing optimization.
  • Define data governance, data flows, and system architecture standards.
  • Document business requirements, process flows, configurations, and technical decisions.

Technical Support & Engineering

  • Troubleshoot Workday Financials issues and coordinate resolution with internal technical teams, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ensure Workday configurations support financial processes, internal controls, and governance requirements.
  • Provide guidance to business users and help drive consistent system adoption.
  • Partner with IT and other technology teams to support production operations and system improvements.

Integrations, Data & Security

  • Own and support the Workday integration ecosystem, including:
    • EIBs
    • Workday Studio
    • Core Connectors
    • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Define and maintain data models and data-flow documentation.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards.
  • Support Workday’s role-based and domain security model.
  • Partner with Finance and downstream system teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
