About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Workday Financials Technical Lead to join a growing enterprise technology team in a permanent, high-impact role based in Peachtree Corners, GA.

This is an immediate need, and we are actively moving quickly with the goal of identifying and presenting strong candidates by the end of this week.

The Workday Financials Technical Lead will take ownership of the Workday Financial Management platform, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Technology, and business stakeholders to optimize the platform, support ongoing operations, and deliver enhancements that align with business objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Workday Financials.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand business needs and translate requirements into effective Workday solutions.
• Own and help prioritize the Workday Financials roadmap, enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into Workday configurations and solutions.
• Support day-to-day Workday Financials operations and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, AMS providers, and consultants to resolve technical and functional issues.
• Ensure Workday configurations align with financial processes, internal controls, security requirements, and governance standards.
• Lead testing activities and support Workday biannual releases and major system changes.
• Perform release impact analysis and coordinate testing, communication, and deployment activities.
• Own and support the Workday integration ecosystem, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs.
• Define and maintain data models, data flows, and data governance standards.
• Support and maintain Workday security, including role-based and domain security.
• Partner with Finance and downstream application teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Maintain documentation around requirements, configurations, processes, integrations, and technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, preferably in Finance or Accounting environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience in a technical lead, functional lead, analyst, product owner, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and financial system controls.
• Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, business processes, security, and production support.
• Strong experience with Workday integrations, including:
  • EIB
  • Workday Studio
  • Core Connectors
  • REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience supporting Workday testing, releases, upgrades, and post-implementation environments.
• Experience working with Workday AMS partners, consultants, or implementation teams.
• Familiarity with Workday reporting and data management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to Finance and business stakeholders.
• Experience working directly with Finance and Accounting teams.
• Workday Financials certification preferred.
