Our client is looking for an experienced Threat Modeling Consultant to play a critical role in strengthening its enterprise cybersecurity program. This is an opportunity to influence how secure solutions are designed across the organization while working alongside Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams.

What You’ll Do

As the Threat Modeling Consultant, you’ll help drive secure-by-design principles across enterprise technology initiatives by:

• Leading enterprise threat modeling activities for applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and technology solutions.
• Building and enhancing Threat Modeler components, templates, reusable models, and governance processes.
• Reviewing solution architectures from a Cyber Architecture perspective to identify security risks before implementation.
• Providing final design recommendations and approvals to ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards.
• Partnering with Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, Engineering, and Development teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Facilitating threat modeling workshops and collaborating with technical teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Helping mature the organization’s threat modeling program by improving standards, consistency, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Architecture, Application Security, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience performing enterprise Threat Modeling.
• Experience using the Threat Modeler platform.
• Ability to review solution and application architectures through a cybersecurity lens.
• Experience identifying security risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
• Strong understanding of secure application design and enterprise security architecture.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and can quickly integrate into a fast-paced environment.

What Will Set You Apart

The ideal candidate has experience beyond simply using Threat Modeler, you’ve helped improve and mature a threat modeling program.

Highly desired experience includes:

• Building Threat Modeler components, templates, reusable models, and libraries.
• Developing governance processes and standards for enterprise Threat Modeling.
• Supporting security architecture reviews and final design approvals.
• Experience with OWASP, STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK, Secure SDLC, and Zero Trust principles.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Identity & Access Management, DevSecOps, and Enterprise Architecture practices.
