Senior Enterprise Architect – Establish the EA Function 5255
Duration: Direct Hire / Perm FTE
Location: Hybrid – Cumberland / Galleria area (Atlanta, GA)
Employment: W2 fulltime employment only, NO sponsorship, NO C2C or 1099
The Opportunity
Tier4 Group is partnering with a high-growth, multi-line platform spanning insurance, financial services, and employment solutions. After significant expansion across multiple business lines, the organization is at a critical inflection point:
They are building their Enterprise Architecture function for the first time.
This is a rare opportunity to define how architecture operates across the enterprise—how decisions are made, how platforms scale, and how emerging AI initiatives are structured—while maintaining speed and business agility.
This role is ideal for a senior architect who has successfully built Enterprise Architecture in a decentralized environment and is ready to do it again with strong executive alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Build the Enterprise Architecture Function (0→1)
- Establish the EA operating model, including engagement approach, artifacts, and deliverables
- Define architecture principles, standards, and reusable patterns
- Introduce capability-based planning across multiple business units
Platform Rationalization & Technology Alignment
- Drive alignment across CRM platforms (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Applied Epic), data platforms (Snowflake), and integration layers (MuleSoft)
- Lead build vs. buy vs. platform evaluations
- Identify and reduce duplicate tools and redundant technology investments
AI Architecture & Governance
- Bring structure to existing AI and GenAI initiatives (Claude and emerging use cases)
- Define architecture patterns (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows where applicable)
- Establish practical AI governance frameworks aligned to real-world usage
Business & Product Partnership
- Collaborate with Product Managers, business leaders, and IT stakeholders across all business areas
- Translate business needs into architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and roadmaps
- Operate as a trusted advisor—enabling speed, not creating friction
Modernize Architecture Governance
- Redesign Architecture Review Board (ARB) into a lightweight, consultative model
- Embed architecture into product discovery and delivery processes
M&A Architecture Support
- Contribute to technical due diligence for acquisitions
- Define post-merger integration architecture and platform alignment strategies

- Complex business landscape: Multiple business units with distinct needs
- Executive visibility: Strong alignment with senior technology leadership
Technology Environment
