Position Overview
Our global manufacturing client is seeking a highly skilled SAP IBP Consultant to join their team for a 3-month+ contract engagement. This role will be critical in supporting the SAP IBP environment, with a specific focus on the TS Optimizer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in time series optimization, a solid understanding of supply chain planning concepts, and demonstrate strong data analytics skills, especially using Python.
Given recent updates, we are open to candidates with moderate time-series optimization experience but with strong data analytics expertise for a more junior role in the team, alongside the senior position.

Key Responsibilities

SAP IBP TS Optimizer: Provide ongoing support for the SAP IBP deployment, with a particular focus on the TS Optimizer module.

Issue Resolution: Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to SAP IBP functionality, data, and integrations.

Optimization: Apply a strong understanding of supply chain concepts, constraints, and cost-based optimization to improve the planning process and address challenges.

Solution Understanding: Quickly ramp up on existing SAP IBP solution designs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the project team and stakeholders to ensure the deployment is successful and effective.

Production Cutover Support: Be available to support a critical production cutover during the weekend of May 30th and provide after-hours support as needed.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior consultants and help improve overall team performance.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience supporting at least one full SAP IBP deployment, specifically with the TS Optimizer module.

Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues related to SAP IBP functionality and data.

Supply Chain Knowledge: Solid understanding of core supply chain concepts, including constraints, cost-based optimization, and time series forecasting.

Fast Learner: Ability to quickly understand existing SAP IBP solution landscapes and contribute to their continuous improvement.

Project Experience: Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, project-oriented environments.

Availability: Full availability during standard working hours (Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm ET) with occasional after-hours or weekend work for production support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Integration Experience: Familiarity with integration between SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA or other upstream/downstream systems (e.g., master data, transactional data).

Customization Skills: Proficiency in designing and customizing SAP IBP planning views to meet business requirements.

Analytical Skills: Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret planning results, analyze trends, compare scenarios, and communicate findings clearly.

Data Analytics: Proficiency in Python for advanced data analytics and optimization, especially in the context of time-series forecasting and optimization tasks.
