Sailpoint Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a skilled SailPoint (IdentityNow) Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage SailPoint IdentityNow solutions in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IAM, cloud platforms, and identity governance to support business operations and security requirements.

12 month + contract

Key Responsibilities:

1. SailPoint Implementation and Support:

  • Design, configure, and deploy SailPoint IdentityNow solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Implement workflows, rules, and provisioning plans based on business requirements.
  • Integrate applications and systems with SailPoint for automated provisioning and governance.
  • Maintain and enhance existing configurations, connectors, and processes.

2. IAM Governance and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce identity governance policies for user lifecycle management, provisioning, and de-provisioning.
  • Assist with access reviews and certification campaigns to ensure compliance during reconciliation efforts.
  • Monitor and manage role-based (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies.
  • Maintain and develop data models, mappings, and identity profiles.

3. Integration and Automation:

  • Integrate SailPoint with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS solutions, and on-premises systems (e.g., SQL applications).
  • Leverage APIs to develop solutions, integrations, and build automated workflows to enhance user experience and reduce manual efforts.

4. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring security, high availability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in SailPoint configurations, rules, connectors, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues promptly.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with security, HR, IT, and business units to align IAM strategies.
  • Provide end-user support and training on IAM policies and tools.
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational teams and peers.
  • Document processes, solutions, and technical designs for internal use and audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow.
  • Strong understanding of IGA principles: Identity Lifecycle Management, Access Management, Identity Governance, and Access Certifications.
  • Proficiency in scripting and query languages (Java, JavaScript, BeanShell, PowerShell, SQL, etc.) for automation and integrations.
  • Experience with REST APIs and application integration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their IAM components.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, CIS).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on automation and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining secure and compliant systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SailPoint certifications (e.g., SailPoint Certified Engineer or IdentityNow Implementation Professional).
  • Experience with additional IAM tools (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, CyberArk, Active Directory, Entra).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes (CI/CD, version control).
