Quality Manager – Hardware Development

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Manager to lead quality strategy, systems, and performance across a diverse portfolio of technologies. This role is a critical member of the engineering organization and is responsible for driving quality excellence across hardware, firmware, IoT wireless systems, software, mobile applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The Quality Manager will oversee the establishment and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and evolve a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that supports organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the full quality strategy across all technology layers: IoT wireless, hardware, firmware, software, mobile apps, databases, and cloud systems.
- Define the direction, objectives, and KPIs for company-wide quality initiatives, ensuring teams are aligned and equipped to meet standards.
- Identify quality risks across product and process lifecycles; develop mitigation strategies and ensure proactive resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance product reliability, reduce defects, and optimize validation processes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, and Field/Service teams to ensure high-quality product delivery and lifecycle support.
- Deliver bi-weekly quality and reliability performance updates to senior leadership, supported by measurable KPIs.
- Promote a culture of ethical behavior, accountability, and quality ownership across all teams.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in quality leadership roles, including 3+ years in a senior or management capacity.
- Proven experience improving system validation processes and strengthening QMS frameworks within the IoT or technology sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience presenting to executives and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading quality practices across both physical and digital product ecosystems.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based environments, mobile platforms, and connected device ecosystems.
- Background in supporting quality across full product lifecycles, including new product introduction (NPI).
