About the Role:
Our client, a Fortune 500 financial services company, is seeking a Sr. Procurement Consultant to support strategic sourcing and vendor management initiatives within their IT and Finance functions. This is a high-impact consulting role focused on technology-related contracts and supplier relationships.
You’ll report to the Assistant Director of Category Management and collaborate closely with IT stakeholders and external vendors. The ideal candidate is experienced in enterprise procurement, especially hardware, telecom, and data center, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead contract development, negotiation, and execution across IT Hardware, Telecom, Datacenter, and Print categories
- Support the end-to-end vendor lifecycle including post-signature management and performance monitoring
- Execute strategic sourcing initiatives and manage RFx processes
- Drive vendor risk assessments and ensure alignment with internal compliance teams (Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, etc.)
- Collaborate with IT and Finance stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and performance improvement plans
- Leverage market research and financial modeling to inform negotiation strategy
- Foster strong vendor relationships and develop contingency/disengagement plans where necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, MIS, or related field—or equivalent work experience
- 3–5 years of procurement, sourcing, or vendor management experience
- Background in IT procurement (Software, SaaS, Cloud, Hardware, Telecom) preferred
- Strong negotiation, project management, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Located in the Milwaukee metro area (preferred but not required); onsite presence is required 3 days/week

- Ability to work independently and manage large, complex procurement projects
- Expertise in business negotiations and corporate procurement
- Experience developing financial models and conducting cost/benefit analysis
- Skilled at working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities
