Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced NOC Engineer to join our network operations team supporting large-scale enterprise and carrier-grade environments. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure across legacy and modern systems, ensuring uptime and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper network gear, strong routing protocol expertise, and a proactive approach to network reliability and service restoration.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor network infrastructure and respond to incidents impacting availability, latency, and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve routing, connectivity, and hardware issues across Cisco and Juniper platforms.

Perform root cause analysis and create detailed documentation (MOPs, diagrams, and post-incident reports).

Participate in the 12 a.m. – 6 a.m. maintenance window for planned changes, upgrades, and testing.

Support network migrations, site due diligence, new equipment installations, firewall requests, and break/fix tickets via ServiceNow.

Contribute to network drawings, documentation, and continuous process improvements.

Participate in the on-call rotation (1 week at a time, currently every 4 weeks, moving to every 6 weeks).
Must-Have Qualifications:

5+ years of professional NOC or network engineering experience.

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper equipment (legacy gear, 15–25 years old—not data center gear).

Proven ability to design and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and VRF routing environments.

Solid understanding of T1, Ethernet, and Async technologies.

Experience writing and executing Methods of Procedure (MOPs).

Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with firewall configurations and network migrations.

Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and change management.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
