Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse Architect
This is 100% remote role, candidates must be located in the US in EST or CST timezone

We are seeking a highly experienced and pragmatic Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse Architect to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale, cloud-native analytics solutions built on the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into robust technical architectures, owning architectural standards, and ensuring solutions meet the highest standards for security, governance, performance, and reliability. The primary data source for this role will be Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle EPM along with some Legacy applications. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and provide mentorship to data engineers, report developers, and data scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the enterprise data architecture strategy on Microsoft Fabric, including standards, patterns, and platform roadmap.
  • Design and develop end-to-end analytics solutions including ingestion, transformation, storage, modeling, and reporting.
  • Architect Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions leveraging OneLake, Delta Lake, and Fabric compute.
  • Design robust ingestion patterns for Oracle Fusion Cloud BI Publisher extracts (CSV-based pipelines, automation, validation, and error handling).
  • Design solutions that scale across large, multi-domain environments with high data volumes and enterprise SLAs.
  • Evaluate and make architectural tradeoffs across performance, cost, usability, and maintainability.
  • Define and enforce governance standards including workspace design, naming conventions, data ownership, access patterns, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and implement observability frameworks including monitoring, alerting, data quality validation, and SLA enforcement.
  • Establish delivery frameworks including CI/CD pipelines, deployment pipelines, guardrails, and reusable accelerators.
  • Lead implementation of medallion architecture patterns (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across engineering and analytics teams.
  • Lead delivery workstreams ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable and integrated solutions.
  • Foster a culture of data quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture or cloud analytics with 2+ years hands-on with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Fabric environments.
  • Strong expertise in Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Integration, and Semantic Layer design.
  • Experience with governance, security, DevOps, and cost optimization in Fabric.
  • Strong understanding of medallion architecture and dimensional modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark.
  • Experience with Direct Lake semantic model optimization.
  • Experience with data migration and modernization into Fabric.
  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion Cloud data via BI Publisher extracts or similar file-based ingestion patterns is a strong plus.
  • Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data observability and reliability patterns.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
