Title: IT Systems Engineer
Location: Marietta, GA – ONSITE
Salary: $55k – $60k
We are seeking a Systems Engineer responsible for level II/Level III administration of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. Administers Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, and network environments; investigates technological trends; forecasts resource needs; recommends solutions; and leads system acquisitions and upgrades. This role requires specialized technical expertise in endpoint management, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure, and exercises independent judgment in systems design and engineering decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise endpoint systems including Windows OS configuration standards, baseline management, and device lifecycle strategy using automation and RMM tools
• Provide advanced administration and engineering for Microsoft 365 platforms including Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint; define configuration standards and enforce security and compliance policies across the tenant
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation tools to streamline IT operations, enforce consistency, and reduce manual processes across systems
• Research and evaluate new technologies, investigate trends, coordinate with vendors, and recommend solutions and upgrades to improve IT infrastructure and operations
• Design and manage device provisioning and imaging processes using Autopilot and Intune, including enrollment profiles, compliance policies, MFA onboarding, and configuration standards
• Design and own the enterprise patch management strategy, including policy development, testing protocols, and deployment scheduling across all managed endpoints
• Administer and engineer Active Directory and Entra ID environments, including Group Policy object design, identity governance, role-based access controls, and replication management
• Build, maintain, and support standard desktop images and application packaging; ensure consistency and security compliance across device fleets including desktops, laptops, and thin clients
• Serve as a subject matter expert on IT systems and infrastructure; provide technical guidance to IT leadership and project teams, and mentor junior staff and contractors to accelerate onboarding and team performance
• Research issues independently, document solutions, and maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base content using tools such as ITGlue or equivalent platforms
• Conduct root cause analysis on complex or recurring IT issues; evaluate IT operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement permanent corrective solutions at the systems level
• Identify security risks, coordinate mitigation efforts, and collaborate with IT leadership to define and enforce IT security policies, compliance requirements, and governance standards
• Establish and maintain IT systems governance frameworks and engineering best practices, including network infrastructure (LAN/VLAN/WLAN/VPN), backup management, and Meraki or equivalent platform administration

• Must have well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ability to perform systems-level analysis and implement solutions.
• Must possess well-developed oral and written communication skills; able to write technical documentation, reports, and other forms of business correspondence.
• Must demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with IT leadership, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Manages own work schedule and projects with minimal supervision using strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Must have a high technical aptitude with specialized knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, endpoint management, and network infrastructure technologies.
• Must have a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in identifying improvements and making technology decisions.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
MUST HAVES
AA/BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 4+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, enterprise infrastructure, or advanced technical support is required
• Advanced Technical Training is strongly desired
• Must have experience in four or more of the following areas:
• Intermediate to expert knowledge in Active Directory Users and Computers, Entra ID, Group Policy design, and replication
• Office 365 Administration including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• IT networking and configuration of LAN/VLAN/WLAN/VPN, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, STP); experience with Meraki or equivalent infrastructure a plus
• PowerShell Scripting, automation, and RMM/PSA platform administration
• Telephony & Voice Integration / VoIP Troubleshooting Experience
• Proficiency with computer imaging and device provisioning through Autopilot and Intune; experience with backup management tools such as VEEAM a plus
Must have two or more of the following certifications or equivalent approved formal training, including but not limited to: training in the following but not limited to:
• CompTIA Certifications (CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, Security+, etc.)
• Microsoft MTA or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator / Endpoint Administrator
• MCSA or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator
• Apple (ACT, ACiT, etc.) or Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Intune or Endpoint certifications
