Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IoT Wireless Engineer to lead wireless technology initiatives across hardware products and network infrastructures. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on engineer who can drive innovation in wireless design, ensure top‑tier product performance, and collaborate across multiple teams to deliver reliable, scalable IoT solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in IoT wireless systems, PCB design, and device‑level diagnostics, along with the ability to balance technical execution, quality, and cross-functional communication.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and estimate costs for new hardware initiatives.
- Create plans, timelines, and schedules for assigned tasks and engineering projects.
- Design and maintain IoT wireless hardware solutions and network infrastructures aligned to business and technical needs.
- Drive continuous improvement to ensure wireless connectivity remains high performance and reliable across deployments.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies within system design.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network architectures, testing procedures, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Partner closely with cross-functional groups—including Engineering, Operations, Product, and Supply Chain—to deliver high‑quality hardware products.
- Uphold strong engineering ethics and adhere to company standards and technical guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in electronic design for IoT, access control, security, or building automation devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with IoT wireless technologies and protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, or similar.
- Experience delivering wireless designs that meet quality assurance, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Altium) for circuit simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10%.
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience designing wireless hardware for large-scale IoT deployments.
- Familiarity with hardware quality assurance processes and field performance testing.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or RF tuning.
