Title: Senior Data Analytics Engineer
Location: Hybrid onsite West Bend, WI
Salary: $120k – $130k + bonus

We seek a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join our client’s team at their West Bend, Wisconsin corporate headquarters. This role requires at least three days per week in the office and offers the opportunity to lead data transformation efforts within a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Our client would be open to remote for the right candidate.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing data pipelines, transforming raw operational data into business-driven insights. Your work will directly support key performance indicators, reporting, and decision-making across the organization.

A strong command of DBT technology is essential for this position, as you will drive data transformation processes and ensure best practices in data quality, architecture, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrating complex and disparate data sources into clean, tested, and reusable datasets.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, leveraging profiling methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Define and maintain best practices for data transformation, format standardization, and attribute consistency.
  • Follow engineering best practices, including CI/CD, unit testing, performance optimization, and automation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Architecture team to ensure high-quality, well-structured data models.
  • Maintain clear, effective documentation of data processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with PII regulations and internal risk policies.
  • Design and implement scalable, reusable Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) dimensional models.
  • Mentor junior team members, guiding dbt technology and data engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in DBT is required.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience, with strong knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery).
  • Experience with Python and shell scripting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of Tableau and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies (e.g., S3, EMR).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with dimensional data modeling (star schemas).
