Title: Snowflake Data Architect – Senior
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Type: Hybrid (Onsite Monday – Wednesday)
Duration: 03/01/2026 – 12/31/2026 initially, possible extension or conversion
Pay: $75/hr. – $80/hr. W2
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to support a major evolution in data integration strategy. This team is transitioning from nightly flat‑file data exchanges to Snowflake Private Data Sharing with key third‑party vendors. This role will focus on standing up Snowflake capabilities, establishing integration patterns, and helping define the long‑term data architecture for the organization’s Wealth Engineering space.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Snowflake-based data integrations using vendor private data shares.
- Contribute to and validate future-state data architecture across the Wealth Engineering domain.
- Build, test, and mature scalable integration patterns for Snowflake adoption.
- Work closely with Solution Engineers and Data/Delivery Engineers to enable successful implementation.
- Establish and document reusable patterns, standards, and best practices for downstream teams.
- Provide architectural guidance and support to help shape long-term data strategy.
- Assist in building data governance, lineage, and platform foundations within Snowflake.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Snowflake platform architecture, data modeling, and integration design.
- Experience contributing to or defining overall data architecture.
- Hands-on experience with data transformation tools (dbt or similar).
- Ability to evaluate and challenge architectural designs, not just execute them.
- Data governance experience and familiarity with modern data platform concepts.
- 3+ years of experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills
- AWS experience, especially with:
- S3
- Iceberg tables
- Glue Catalog
- Lake Formation
- Familiarity with data mesh concepts.
- Experience helping organizations transition to new data platforms.
- Background in financial services, insurance, or wealth management (not required).
