Title: Accountant I
Location: Remote-United States, working core CST business hours
Duration: Minimum 12-month commitment starting ASAP
Pay: $20/hr. + medical benefits
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team, providing transactional accounting support for field offices across the country. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transactional accounting for assigned field offices.
- Process vouchers, enter journal entries, and manage monthly period-close reconciliations.
- Handle commission processing, payroll activities, and 1099 reporting.
- Provide training for new contractors and maintain strong relationships with assigned offices.
- Support office-specific accounting projects as needed.
- Collaborate with a team of accountants responsible for AP, commission processing, and period-close activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Experience: Formal accounting education and practical experience with accounting principles, including journal entries (credits/debits).
- Technical Skills:
- Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate worksheets accurately.
- Outlook: Proficient in email and calendar management.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Professional Skills:
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proper grammar.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Training period: Approximately 2+ months.
- Must be able to commit to the role for at least one year.
